Headed by the Chief Welfare Officer, assisted by 1 Principal Welfare Officer, 1 Senior Welfare Officer and with a team of around 300 employees, the welfare department has inter-alia the following responsibilities:

1. Organization of cultural, social-cultural, sports, leisure and recreational activities.
2. Provision of education (pre-primary, adult, specialised) and management of the day care centre.
3. Management of Social Halls for reception, seminars, meeting, etc
4. Hearse service.
5. Cater for activities relating to women senior citizens, handicapped, cyclone refugees.
6. Running initiation courses in yoga, aerobic and Karate in Eddy Norton Hall.
