Headed by the Financial Controller, assisted by a Deputy Town Treasurer, an Accountant, an Internal Auditor, together with a workforce of 33 employees, the department has the following responsibilities:-
1. Preparation of the Annual Budget.
2. Collection of revenues.
3. Payment of salaries to employees.
4. Effecting purchases for the Council and payment thereof.
5. Advising the Council on financial policy matters.
6. Management of the cashflow.
