This is a relatively new created department headed by the Head of Planning Department, assisted by 25 staff and is responsible for:

1. Processing of applications for building permits.
2. Processing applications for Development permits.
3. Processing applications for subdivision/excision of land.
4. Preparation of outline scheme and running for the township.
5. Maintenance and updating of the cadastre.
