Its main aim is to examine tenders worth more than Rs. 50,000 and allocate same. This Committee acts as a consultative forum in such cases. It is also responsible for the conferment of honours and deciding on the names of streets. This Committee also gives flexibility to the functioning of the Council in as much as it allows it to take any matter deem important that has not been considered during other specific Committees.
