A healthy environment is essential for the well being of its inhabitants. This Committee is responsible for making recommendations to better the environment such as recommending the setting up of public gardens or other embellishment projects e.g. Organising the ‘Fleurir la Ville’ contest.

One of the main concerns of this Committee is to follow-up the clearing of overgrown barelands and wastelands or other such eyesores. It also monitors the organisation of ‘Journée de l’Environement’ across the township.

Also, falling under the ambit of this committee is the organisation of activities pertaining to the promotion of awareness about the protection of the environment.
